Swami Ji’s bio

In keeping with ancient traditions at the age of 7 Swami Yoganada was sent to Hatha yogis for yoga diksha which was the beginning of his yoga journey, continuing to study under the guidance of traditional Masters in the Himalayas. At the age of 21 he became a sanayassi, living in a cave in Gangotri giving lessons to other monks and meditators.

Since coming out of cave life and into society he has worked tirelessly helping those who come to him conquer a myriad of physical & emotional problems through a yogic, holistic regime. His success stories are numerous despite the fact that often, medical opinion has offered no hope for recovery or through invasive interventions such as surgery.

Since 2004 he has divided his time between the Manali ashram and Goa, teaching yoga to beginners and advanced students alike.
